    Short story in just 600 words? Thats pretty much around 1 or 1 1/2 Word Documents. Cruel.

      Actually it is amazing what you can get into 600 words. In the Practice group on the internet writing workshop, typical word count is 300 words. Some contests give you a word limit of 100 words, or 50 or even 6!
